Lake Park Little League MKE relies on parent and community volunteers to operate the league. Opportunities are flexible. One-time tasks or ongoing. Help is needed before, during, or after the season. Board positions are filled during the October election cycle.
Coach (Manager): Immediate Need Attends pre-season coach's meetings. Coordinates 2-3 activities per week (games, practices, clinics). Provides a positive sports experience in a FUN atmosphere. Teaches baseball skills, teamwork, and relationship skills. Emphasizes the positive, gives praise, and has patience. Experience managing groups of children is a plus. Communicates schedules to parents. Regular attendance is recommended. Background check required.
Assistant Coach: Immediate Need Assists the Coach (Mangers) with their tasks. Baseball knowledge is not necessary. Regular attendance is not required. Background check required.
Player Agent: Board Member. Working closely with the President, the Player Agent is tasked with overseeing all aspects of the management of players at all levels. Responsible for player age and residency affidavits for all-star tournaments.
Parent Liason: Board Member. Working closely with the President, the Parent Liason is tasked with soliciting feedback from Parents, and assisting with general questions regarding the League.
Marketing Director: Immediate Need Board Member. Will oversee the promotion of the league and coordinate efforts with social media, website, and special events.
Safety Officer: Board Member. Working closely with President the Safety Officer is responsible for the league ASAP (A Safety Awareness Program) and its procedures.
Equipment & Uniforms: Board Member. Inventory, order, distribute and collect equipment and uniforms.
Treasure/Accountant: Board Member. Responsible for the financial managing of the league and provides financial updates to the League President and board members.
Special Events: Immediate Need Help coordinate events such as marching in East Side 4th of July parade, hot dog stand at Downer Ave bike race, and Little League Night at Miller Park.
Social Media: Immediate Need Regularly post news items on the website, Facebook page, Next Door, league-wide emails, etc.
Website: Immediate Need Manage interface. Write/review/post static content.
Umpire Coordinator: Recruit, train, guide, and schedule umpires.
Umpires: Immediate Need While our umpires are most often former LPLL players all are encouraged to apply. The minimum age requirement is 14 for machine pitch games, and 16 for AAA and Majors games.
Scheduling: Obtain and post field permits. Schedule practices, games, clinics.
Lake Park Little League is a 503C non-profit organization. Monetary Donations are tax deductible.
