VOLUNTEER

Lake Park Little League MKE relies on parent and community volunteers to operate the league. Opportunities are flexible and include one-time ongoing task, board and committee work, etc. Help is needed before, during, or after the season. Board positions are filled during the fall election cycle.

Coach (Manager):  Attends pre-season coach's meetings. Coordinates 2-3 activities per week (games, practices, clinics). Provides a positive sports experience in a FUN atmosphere. Teaches baseball skills, teamwork, and relationship skills. Emphasizes the positive, gives praise, and has patience. Experience managing groups of children is a plus. Communicate schedules to parents. Regular attendance is recommended. Background check required.  

Assistant Coach:  Assists the Coach (Mangers) with their tasks. Baseball knowledge is not necessary. Regular attendance is not required. Background check required.  

Special Events: Help coordinate events such as marching in East Side 4th of July parade, hot dog stand at Downer Ave bike race, and Little League Night at Miller Park.  

Umpires: While our umpires are most often former LPLL players all are encouraged to apply. The minimum age requirement is 14 for machine pitch games, and 16 for AAA and Majors games.

Lake Park Little League is a 503C non-profit organization and seeks charitable tax deductible donations and sponsorships to help cover the costs of our league, replace equipment and upgrade fields, and provide scholarship dollars to ensure everyone has access to a little league experience.
